This job will be an onsite role.

The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is offering a limited number of exciting internships to qualified college students. Summer internships are fulltime paid positions that start in May/June and typically last 10 to 12 weeks.

The Software Engineering Intern will work alongside our experienced engineering team to develop and enhance our cuttingedge software applications. This is an exciting opportunity to gain handson experience in a dynamic fastpaced environment and contribute to the delivery of innovative software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering design coding testing and deployment
  • Collaborate with developers business analysts and project managers to understand project requirements and deliver highquality code
  • Implement new features and functionalities based on product roadmap and customer needs
  • Write clean maintainable and welldocumented code using best practices and industry standards
  • Assist in the testing and debugging of software applications to ensure they meet the desired quality standards
  • Contribute to the improvement of development processes tools and methodologies

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in computer science software engineering or a related technical field
  • Handson experience with Python git and Linux
  • Familiarity with software development tools and environments
  • Knowledge of software design principles data structures and algorithms
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to think critically
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and a desire to contribute to innovative software solutions
