We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Data Scientist with a expertise in data engineering infrastructure and advanced AI/ML techniques to join our team. This role will drive the design and implementation of cuttingedge AI solutions to address realworld challenges while collaborating with crossfunctional teams across R&D Marketing Scientific/Medical Affairs and Commercial functions. As part of theAI and Enterprise Data Transformation team you will play a handson role in developing scalable AI projects that align with Cepheids mission to improve healthcare diagnostics. This position is based in Sunnyvale.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
Lead the endtoenddesign development and deployment of scalable AI solutions in collaboration with key project stakeholders such as R&D Engineering Commercial teams.
Ensure all AIbased solutions meet industry standards for robustness scalability maintainability and ethical considerations.
Provide mentorship to team members by fostering a culture of innovation technical excellence and continuous learning
Champion the adoption of AI technologies within Cepheid and across Danaher operating companies by demonstrating their value through impactful projects
Partner with business leaders to identify highvalue opportunities for integrating AI into organizational goals.
Stay at the forefront of emerging trends in AI/ML technologies to maintain Cepheids competitive edge.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelors degree in software engineering computer science or a similar field with 12 years of related work experience OR Masters degree with 9 years of related work experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 5 years of work experience.
Expertise in statistical principles and machine learning techniques such as regression classification clustering and neural networks.
Proven track record (5 years) of success in designing and deploying largescale AI/ML models.
Proficiency in ML frameworks and libraries (e.g. TensorFlow PyTorch Scikitlearn) and programming languages such as Python R or Java.
Extensive experience in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Google Cloud Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Git) for productiongrade ML solutions.
Knowledge of modern data warehousing platforms (e.g. Snowflake) and ETL tools (e.g. Apache NiFi).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Prior experience working in healthcare or diagnostics industries to align AI solutions with patientfocused outcomes
Indepth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) and SQL proficiency.
Experience building microservices architectures using RESTful APIs.

The salary range for this role is $215000 $240000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. #L1WT1
