Responsibilities
Project Description:
Noblis is seeking a qualified technical intern for Summer 2025 with course work and laboratory experience in Biology Biochemistry Chemistry or similar domain. The candidate will work with a small team of Noblis scientists toadvance infectious disease science synthetic biology research and molecular detection methods at the intersection of national security and public health. This role is to support several cutting edge Noblis Sponsored Research (NSR) projects. The ideal candidate is motivated dependable detailoriented has a positive attitude and a passion for applied research.
The intern will:
- Work onsite in a laboratory setting for at least 4 days a week.
- Perform labbased experiments.
- Meet at least weekly with the team to outline monitor and close a summer project.
- Present results to Noblis scientists for discussion and analysis.
- Prepare a final report and oral presentation.
- Stay abreast of the scientific literature on projectrelated topics.
- Work autonomously and in a team environment with a positive collegial attitude.

Required Qualifications

- Pursuing a masters in biology biochemistry chemistry bioinformatics or similar domain OR enrolling in a masters program that will begin between the Fall of 2025 or Fall of 2026
- A GPA of 3.3 or higher
- U.S. Citizenship
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- Coding and bioinformatics experience is a plus
- Familiarity with BSL2 safety procedures is a plus

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors including but not limited to the combination of education certifications knowledge skills competencies and experience internal and external equity location clearance level as well as contractspecific affordability organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this positionis based on full time status. For part time or oncall staff compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important its just one component of Noblis total compensation package.
