The 9th Grade Summer Programs Principal under the direction of the CRLS Principal and Leadership Team and in collaboration with schoolbased teachers will be responsible for developing and overseeing both the Rise Up and Freshmen Academy Programs that will support Incoming Freshmen students to strengthen their learning during a fourweek summer learning period. The 9th Grade Summer Programs Principal will be responsible for the direct supervision of staff including weekly group/staff check in and one toone support as needed.
The 9th Grade Summer Programs Principal will work with classroom teachers and appropriate support staff ().e. content area teachers counselors) and Upper School/CRLS family liaisons to encourage students to participate in the hybrid programming. During the program the 9th Grade Summer Programs Principal will lead ongoing communication with families with the support of the school administrator.
Prior to the start of Rise Up and the Freshman Academy learning period the9th Grade Summer Programs Principal will work with the CRLS Principal and Leadership Team to develop student schedules and teacher assignments. The Principal will also orient summer teaching staff to program resources currently available and developed by district curriculum coordinators In accordance with prerequisite standards as outlined by DESE. Social skills Instruction will be based on SEL curriculum ideas aligned with the Falcon Block model embedded within each Learning Community.
During the program the 9th Grade Summer Programs Principal will support staff in addressing day to day needs including support staff in addressing student behavioral issues and engagement.
The 9th Grade Summer Programs Principal will maintain all records including daily student attendance and follow up as needed; keep accurate time sheets; and produce payment vouchers.
MinimumRequirements:
Masters Degree and experience working with high school students in academic support/youth development settings. CRLS staff member preferred.
Service agreement to be paid at the summer school principal rate of $60/hour. Not to exceed $7500 total (125 hours).

Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a nonexemptemployee and have worked more than 40 hours a week you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours.
