Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Masters degree in Literacy or Reading Education
At least three years of K12 teaching experience
Preferred:
Familiarity with the Science of Reading and current literacy practices.
Experience advising mentoring and/or supervising preservice teachers throughout their program of study both in and out of clinical settings.
Ability to engage students with current trends in the field such as the Science of Reading childrens literature home literacy practices multilingual learners technology use in literacy development and reading and writing assessment.
License as a Literacy/Reading Specialist or Elementary Educator.
Experience teaching English Language Arts reading or literacy classes in K12 especially in elementary and middle school settings as well as in higher education.
Doctorate in Literacy/Reading Education or an educationrelated field with an emphasis on literacy/reading education.
