Job Description

US Sustainability Manager Row Crops
This role provides an exciting opportunity within NNCs broader sustainability strategy to support the US Row Crops business with exposure to other Nuveen Natural Capital businesses. The main functions of this role are to: Support the US Row Crop business sustainability efforts as part of NNCs broader sustainability strategy. This role will ensure that the global sustainability strategy for farmland is executed on US row crop farmland assets and related projects. The US Sustainability Manager Row Crops will report to the head of US Row Crops while also taking strategic direction from the Global Head of Sustainability.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • This role will liaise with tenants strategic stakeholders government agencies (FSA USDA) and others in an effort to increase awareness education and adoption of sustainable ag practices at the farm level.

  • Ensure the implementation of the broader sustainability strategy within US Farmland

  • This role will work closely with Sustainability Resource Information and Operational teams in defining processes data and metrics to support the sustainability strategy. The role will entail working at the cuttingedge of evolving standards and protocols including:
    i. GHG emissions and removal in line with nascent protocols including GHG protocol for Land use and Removals.
    ii. Natural Capital accounting: support in data capture and insights
    iii. Regulatoryrelated processes and reporting
    iv. Investorrelated requests and reports
    v. Biodiversity plans and metrics to support global standards including Taskforce on Naturerelated Financial Disclosures (TNFD).

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • 3 Years Required; 5 Years Preferred

Anticipated Posting End Date:

Base Pay Range: $90000/yr $130000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon but not limited to relevant experience time in role base salary of internal peers prior performance business sector and geographic location. In addition to base salary the competitive compensation package may include depending on the role participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example annual discretionary incentive programs nonannual sales incentive plans or other nonannual incentive plans).
