Summary Technical Leadership role for AI Team

Position Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. AI Services Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define Strategic Direction: Develop and refine the AI services roadmap ensuring alignment with the organizations vision and business priorities.
  • Leverage Platform Capabilities: Identify opportunities to reuse and extend the organizations existing AI platform modules components and frameworks in new services and solutions.
  • Market & Innovation Insights: Maintain awareness of AI trends tools and best practices to continuously evolve the service portfolio.

2. Collaboration with AI Engineering & Platform Teams

  • Seamless Integration: Partner with the AI Engineering team to understand the architecture design patterns and reusable modules of the AI platform incorporating them effectively into client or internal solutions.
  • Feedback Loop: Provide structured feedback to AI Engineering on platform usability performance and feature requests to ensure continuous improvement of reusable components.
  • Standardization & Governance: Champion best practices for model deployment MLOps versioning and quality assurance ensuring consistent standards across all AI services.

3. Delivery & Project Oversight

  • Project Coordination: Oversee multiple AI service engagements concurrently from requirements gathering and scoping through development testing deployment and postlaunch monitoring.
  • Resource Allocation: Align crossfunctional teamsdata scientists ML engineers solution architects and business analyststo project demands leveraging centralized AI platform assets for efficiency.
  • Quality & Compliance: Implement standardized processes (e.g. agile MLOps frameworks) and adhere to data privacy security and regulatory guidelines for all AI deliverables.

4. Ecosystem Integration & Enablement

  • Enterprise Alignment: Work with IT Product and Data teams to integrate AI solutions into the broader technology stack (data pipelines APIs microservices DevOps workflows etc.).
  • Technology Evangelism: Serve as an internal advocate for AIdriven solutions highlighting the benefits of adopting reusable AI platform capabilities across business functions.
  • Scalability & Reliability: Ensure deployed AI services are scalable resilient and performant within the organizations production environment.

5. Team Leadership & Development

  • Build & Mentor Teams: Recruit mentor and guide a diverse highperforming AI Services team fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Skill Development: Drive ongoing technical and professional development initiatives to keep teams at the forefront of AI advancements and platform best practices.
  • Culture & Collaboration: Promote open communication knowledge sharing and collaboration between AI Services AI Engineering and other organizational teams.

6. Stakeholder Management & Business Impact

  • Executive Partnering: Engage with senior leadership to define prioritize and align AI service initiatives with strategic business goals.
  • Client & Business Unit Relations: Collaborate with external clients or internal departments to understand requirements tailor AI solutions and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Value Measurement: Define and track KPIs (e.g. adoption rate cost savings revenue uplift model performance) to demonstrate the tangible business impact of AI services.

7. Financial & Operational Management

  • Budget Ownership: Plan and manage the budget for AI Services allocating resources effectively to meet project commitments and growth targets.
  • Vendor & Partnership Management: Identify and manage relationships with external partners consultants and academic institutions to expand or enhance platform capabilities.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential riskstechnical regulatory or operationaland develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and platform reliability.

Technical Expertise

Indepth knowledge of machine learning deep learning NLP computer vision or other advanced analytics techniques.

Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow PyTorch scikitlearn) and cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).

Experience with MLOps containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines focusing on reusability and scalability of AI components.

Leadership & Soft Skills

Strong executive presence with the ability to distill technical AI topics into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Proven ability to foster collaboration across engineering product and business units to drive holistic solutions.

Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder expectations and partnerships effectively.

Position Requirements

Requires a BA/BS in a quantitative major; 8 years of experience in leading advanced analytical function in a major industry such as healthcare banking/credit insurance ecommerce or consulting; or any combination of education or experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills Capabilities and Experiences

Masters degree in a quantitative field MBA or MPH preferred.

Indepth knowledge of machine learning deep learning NLP computer vision or other advanced analytics techniques.

Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow PyTorch scikitlearn) and cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).

Experience with MLOps containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines focusing on reusability and scalability of AI components.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations the salary* range for this specific position is $172080 to $344160.
