Job summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for safely loading unloading and moving materials within or near the district service center yard or work site.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Unload stock and inventory all deliveries
Assist with new orders cycle counts and RFID operations
Read and understand SOPs and Risk Assessments
Ability to understand Inventory Control Process
Exhibits equipment and product understanding
Ability to read work orders and follow verbal instruction
Counts weighs secures tags palettize and stacks materials and maintains accurate records of material movement
Maintains work area machines and equipment
Operates and inspects industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products
Assists in developing a culture that works to achieve and maintain an accidentfree workplace
Performs other job duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of one years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be able to become forklift certified within 30 days
Must be able to effectively operate handheld scanner (inventory transaction device) within 30 days
Ability to use identification tools (engraver metal stamps paint pen) to mark product
Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings

Summary Pay Range:
$19.85 $26.55Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjobrelated knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
