Do you have excellent organisational skills and are confident using Microsoft Office Are you currently an Information Management Support Officer (IMSO) or interested in becoming one If so this role could be for you! This is an exciting opportunity to move your career into the Fraud and Error Resolution Unit where there are excellent opportunities for development.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the safeguarding of vital resources for the people of Scotland. Youll process surveillance requests from internal sources and other government departments ensuring compliance with existing legislation. Your role will involve monitoring and documenting ongoing requests maintaining correspondence records to support potential criminal proceedings.

Youll also collaborate with Covert Investigation colleagues providing essential support and engaging with stakeholders to offer assistance and advice related to the Covert Investigation Team. You will demonstrate flexibility be comfortable in a changing environment and enjoy working collaboratively to identify opportunities for improvements and explore innovative solutions.

  • Review and record incoming physical and electronic correspondence maintaining statistical records securely in eRDM.
  • Take on the role of an eRDM IMSO to ensure all records relating to surveillance activities are maintained accurately and timeously for potential criminal proceedings.
  • Provide admin support for all surveillance requests including assisting with video editing.
  • Assisting in providing a surveillance package to External Investigations colleagues by amalgamating witness statements and providing a timeline of activities.
  • Provide assistance to Senior Manager with end of month performance figures.
  • Assist in the development of new procedures by collaborating with colleagues from Social Security Scotland wider Scottish Government and other government departments.
  • Other ad hoc duties relevant to the role e.g. arranging meetings with colleagues from Social Security Scotland wider Scottish Government and other government departments acting as minute taker at meetings.

Working Pattern
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week and we offer a range of flexible working options depending on the needs of the role. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices.
