Part Time (40 hours/biweekly)
Shift: Evenings
Position Function: To provide transportation of patients to and from treatment areas and to maintain general transportation/mobility of supplies and equipment.

respect for patients by knocking on door before entering room and making proper inquiries before going behind drawn curtains in patient rooms.
appropriate mechanical means or equipment to position lift transfer or transport patients in a manner that minimizes the risk of personal and patient injury and that fosters proper body mechanics and procedures.
in other related functions as assigned.
transports patients to and from treatment areas ensures that each patient is properly attired to ensure personal dignity and respect during transport.
that all procedures with regards to signing patients on and off the nursing unit or within the department are in compliance.
to inquiries phone callsetc. in a professional and positive manner that enhances the image of the department and its staff.
all patient inquiries regarding their care or their status to the appropriate professional in a manner that conveys positive recognition and enhancement of the departments chain of command.
with patient lifts and transfers when indicated.
patients condition during transport and reports changes in patients condition to clinical personnel.
in orientation of new personnel serving as a buddy to new transporters.
appropriately to emergency situations.
external cardiac compressions to patients during ERT activities if required.
hospital patient safety standards.
knowledge of dispatcher function and is able to temporarily fill that job function.
medications within the hospital as requested and needed according to Hospital policy.
Qualifications and Standards
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Experience applying customer service behaviors and communication skills required. Experience in health care preferred. Knowledge of orthopedic appliances traction equipment and their various uses helpful.
Certifications/Licensure: Current CPR certification required.
