Job Description

Position Description:

The Medical College of Wisconsin and Childrens Wisconsin are recruiting a BC/BE Pediatrician to join the Department of Pediatrics Community Hospitalist Medicine Program in Neenah is an ideal position for a pediatric specialist with a desire to work in a worldclass academic medicine environment while living in a thriving metropolitan area perfect for raising a family and surrounded by incredible natural beauty.

Opportunity highlights

  • Join a dedicated collegial and growing team of 12 pediatric hospitalists
  • Fulltime opening (2000 hours annually) 67 shifts monthly
  • 24hour shifts providing coverage for pediatric admissions inpatient unit deliveries and infusion clinic
  • Provide all aspects of patient care from admission to discharge carings for patients newborn through 18years old collaborating with primary care physicians and specialists.

The role is employed by the Medical College of Wisconsin and provides care at Childrens Wisconsin locations in Northeast Wisconsin. Both organizations are based in the Milwaukee area. The Medical College of Wisconsin pediatric specialty providers who work at the nationally ranked Childrens Wisconsin are members of Childrens Specialty Group a strong group practice of more than 775 elite pediatric specialty physicians advanced practice nurses and physician assistants.

This position is located in Northeast Wisconsin as part of an innovative collaboration between Childrens Wisconsin Bellin Health and ThedaCare. These topquality health care organizations are partnering to improve the health and wellbeing of children and adolescents in Northeast and Central Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan through joint venture called Connected for Kids. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with primary and specialty care providers at these organizations to improve patient outcomes. The connection between the organizations helps position our physicians to successfully support the needs of patients and their families.

About Childrens Wisconsin
Childrens Wisconsin is an independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and wellbeing of children. The hospital with locations in Milwaukee and Northeast Wisconsin is recognized as one of the leading pediatric health care centers in the United States. Childrens Wisconsin provides primary care urgent care emergency care specialty care mental and behavioral health services community health services foster and adoption services child advocacy services and health insurance plans. Each year the Childrens Wisconsin team has more than 6.5 million touchpoints with kids and families through medical care advocacy research and education. In Northeast Wisconsin Childrens Wisconsin is expanding its services to provide increased access to outstanding pediatric subspecialty care. This includes a pediatric hospital with a Pediatric Unit Level III NICU and Infusion Center which is located at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah Wis. A multispecialty pediatric ambulatory clinic with onsite laboratory and radiology services opened in Appleton Wis. in 2023.

  • Candidates must have completed a pediatric residency and be board certified or eligible by The American Board of Pediatrics.
  • Must possess or have ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Wisconsin
