About the Role
A challenging and exciting opportunity to practice acute medicine whilst helping to reduce pressure on already overstretched A&E and 999 services.
We seek an experienced General Practitioners to work Wednesday and Thursdays from 11.30 18.30.
Ideally we seek GPs with out of hours experience confidence in telephone triage and the ability to think on their feet. Training will be given in the use of Adastra clinical system company policies and procedures and local patient pathways.
Your Day to Day
The role involves overseeing and providing telephone support to the independent nurse prescribers. The GP will participate in home visiting based in Burton covering South Staffordshire.
The purpose of the contract is to provide a home visiting service to assist daytime General Practice by seeing acutely unwell adult patients who may otherwise use 999 or attend A&E.
The doctor will be accompanied by a driver in a fully equipped vehicle but this is not intended as an emergency service.
