Job Description:
To provide patientfocused pharmacy services including monitoring of therapy interventions basic pharmacokinetics education and medication distribution. To support the mission activities and programs of the division department and the Hospital.
An opportunity is now available for a pharmacist specializing in the care of Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cellular Therapy patients. This vital role will support both inpatient and outpatient interdisciplinary care teams providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients undergoing complex therapies.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Delivering patient education with an emphasis on BMT and cellular therapies
Conducting medication reconciliation and clinical review
Participating in daily interdisciplinary rounds with inpatient BMT services and contribute to Cancer Service Line quality and clinical initiatives
Collaborating closely with providers nurses and support staff to optimize patient outcomes across the care continuum
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of a PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency
Or equivalent experience in oncology hematology or bone marrow transplant pharmacy practice

Bachelors degree in Pharmacy required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Licensed Pharmacist by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) required.
