FullTime Clinical Educator

Jefferson Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Educator who is a registered nurse with a BSN degree and has expertise in education. The Clinical Educator develops coordinates and evaluates educational programs for nursing staff students and allied health professionals. They oversee new employee orientation tailoring training to various experience levels from new graduates to seasoned professionals. In addition to providing continuing education they serve as a resource for clinical instruction program development and outreach initiatives with colleges and healthcare organizations. Collaborating with leadership and multiple departments they ensure training aligns with evolving healthcare standards while contributing to policy development quality assurance and best practices. Through a combination of instruction consultation and program oversight the Clinical Educator plays a key role in advancing clinical competency and patient care excellence.
What this role is about:
- Develops and operationalizes effective methods of educating patient care staff focused on knowledge skills and attitudes requisite for safe competent and effective patient care practice. Identifies need develops and offers specific education programs relevant to needs assessment and identified gaps in knowledge for assigned areas
- Functions as a consultant collaborating with unit staff management organizational leadership and the academic community to ensure competency promote staff development and advance the profession of nursing.
- Promotes evidencebased nursing practice through assessment dissemination of information analysis of practice coaching and mentoring.
- Manages factors related to safety and effectiveness and cost in planning and delivering of professional development activities.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of competencybased education model incorporating competency assessment into all educational activities
- Develops educational programs for unlicensed nursing support personnel
- Appreciates differences in learning styles cultures and generational differences of learners participating in educational activities and develops activities to enhance participation and learning.

What youll need:
- Current Washington State RN license in good standing required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or relevant degree required
- Graduate degree in Nursing Education or related specialty preferred
- Previous experience as a clinical educator preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Advanced current certification preferred for specific patient population: PALS ENPC TNCC ANA MedSurg. NRP Wound Care Conscious Sedation
- Specialty areas may require additional experience certifications and licenses
- Minimum five years of acute nursing care experience required
Schedule: This position is fulltime exempt. This position is onsite.
