Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Lead to oversee the design implementation and management of our enterprise database systems. The ideal candidate will have 15 years of handson experience in Oracle database administration architecture and performance tuning. This role requires expertise in high availability solutions cloud migrations automation and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Administration & Management:
- Lead and manage Oracle database environments 11g/12c/19c and above).
- Ensure high availability scalability and performance optimization of Oracle databases.
- Manage database security policies backup & recovery strategies and disaster recovery plans.
- Perform database installations configurations patches and upgrades.
Performance Tuning & Optimization:
- Analyze and optimize SQL queries indexes and plans.
- Conduct database performance tuning monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Implement Partitioning Compression and Advanced Indexing strategies for large datasets.
Cloud & Automation:
- Design and execute cloud migration strategies (AWS Azure Oracle Cloud).
- Automate database maintenance monitoring and deployments using scripting (Shell Python Ansible).
- Implement CI/CD for database changes in DevOps environments.
High Availability & Disaster Recovery:
- Architect and manage RAC Data Guard GoldenGate replication.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN Datapump and Flashback technologies.
- Ensure business continuity by designing and testing DR plans.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement data encryption access control auditing and compliance policies.
- Work closely with security teams to ensure database security aligns with industry best practices.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead a team of DBAs and database engineers providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Work with crossfunctional teams (Developers DevOps Cloud Security) to ensure smooth database operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define database strategies and roadmaps.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.
- Strong expertise in Oracle 11g/12c/19c RAC Data Guard GoldenGate.
- Handson experience with SQL tuning query optimization and performance troubleshooting.
- Experience in cloud platforms (AWS Azure Oracle Cloud) and database migrations.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL Shell scripting Python or Ansible for automation.
- Deep understanding of backup & recovery strategies using RMAN Datapump.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices auditing and compliance (GDPR PCIDSS).
- Experience with CI/CD DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Ability to lead teams mentor junior DBAs and work in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to handle production incidents efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Certified Professional OCP or Oracle Certified Master OCM.
- Experience with Kubernetes Docker and microservices database architectures.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB Cassandra) or Big Data technologies.
