Job Description
Overview: The Hardware Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design development and testing of electronic hardware components and systems for a wide array of applications. In this position you will work closely with crossfunctional teams to create innovative hardware solutions that not only meet technical specifications but also align with the companys strategic goals. Your expertise in circuit design prototyping and electronic testing will be essential in ensuring highquality deliverables and adherence to industry standards. Youll engage in continuous improvement efforts to optimize designs and processes thereby enhancing product performance and reliability. As a key contributor this role requires a proactive approach to problemsolving and a thorough understanding of hardware development methodologies. The Hardware Engineer is vital to the success of our technological initiatives ensuring that the products we deliver to our customers are cuttingedge robust and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop hardware systems and components.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing for new product designs.
- Collaborate with software engineers to align hardware and software interface requirements.
- Create detailed technical specifications and system requirements documentation.
- Perform simulations and analyses to validate design concepts.
- Oversee the selection and purchase of hardware components.
- Integrate hardware components with existing systems and platforms.
- Develop testing protocols and methodologies to ensure product quality.
- Participate in design reviews offering suggestions for functional and structural improvements.
- Debug hardware components and troubleshoot issues during development.
- Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards during the hardware development process.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of hardware engineering trends and emerging technologies.
- Document and present findings to stakeholders adhering to best practices in technical communication.
- Manage timelines and priorities within project scopes effectively.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns in hardware development practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 35 years of experience in hardware engineering or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in circuit design and analysis.
- Handson experience with electronic testing equipment (oscilloscopes multimeters etc..
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as SPICE MATLAB or similar software.
- Experience in designing embedded systems and firmware development.
- Solid foundation in digital and analog electronics.
- Ability to interpret and create schematics and technical drawings.
- Proven track record of successful product development from concept to production.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented collaborative environment.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g. CE FCC UL) is a plus.
- Certifications in hardware engineering or relevant technologies are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for prototyping and client interactions if necessary.
