Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop hardware systems and components.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing for new product designs.
- Collaborate with software engineers to align hardware and software interface requirements.
- Create detailed technical specifications and system requirements documentation.
- Perform simulations and analyses to validate design concepts.
- Oversee the selection and purchase of hardware components.
- Integrate hardware components with existing systems and platforms.
- Develop testing protocols and methodologies to ensure product quality.
- Participate in design reviews offering suggestions for functional and structural improvements.
- Debug hardware components and troubleshoot issues during development.
- Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards during the hardware development process.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of hardware engineering trends and emerging technologies.
- Document and present findings to stakeholders adhering to best practices in technical communication.
- Manage timelines and priorities within project scopes effectively.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns in hardware development practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 35 years of experience in hardware engineering or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in circuit design and analysis.
- Handson experience with electronic testing equipment (oscilloscopes multimeters etc..
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as SPICE MATLAB or similar software.
- Experience in designing embedded systems and firmware development.
- Solid foundation in digital and analog electronics.
- Ability to interpret and create schematics and technical drawings.
- Proven track record of successful product development from concept to production.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented collaborative environment.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g. CE FCC UL) is a plus.
- Certifications in hardware engineering or relevant technologies are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for prototyping and client interactions if necessary.
