Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager specializing in the Air & Space domains. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of USAF & USSF operations strong business acumen and a proven track record of fostering relationships within the defense sector.

The primary focus of this role is to drive business growth by identifying and pursuing opportunities from cradle to grave within both Services facilitating meetings for capability briefings and demonstrations managing client portfolios and expanding our market reach through networking and relationshipbuilding activities.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying shaping qualifying capturing and growing new opportunities and capabilities for our USAF& USSF customers.

Responsibilities

  • Grow existing business generate new opportunities capture and win new business.
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing and prospective customers understand their current and future requirements and correlate capabilities required by the customers to QinetiQs products and solutions. Identify and understand the competitive landscape and contribute to a QinetiQ strategy toward a superior offering.
  • Develop and execute coordinated approaches to new business opportunities and execute comprehensive capture campaigns.
  • Be responsible for the discretionary spending budgets to capture new business. Identify new business opportunities proactively communicate and be part of developing the strategic direction for our products and markets and be the voice of the customer.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and partners business line leaders engineering leads manufacturing capture and proposal other functional lines partner companies and customers.
  • Communicate our value to customers partners competitors and the interested public. Be the business development face of the organization and be directly involved in gotomarket strategy development and execution of gotomarket plans.
  • Provide vision to your team members and recruit and retain key personnel to resource the requirements of the business plan.
  • Collaborate with QinetiQs Global Government Relations (GGR) on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions.
  • Travel 50% of the time (domestically & internationally)
  • Possible Work Locations: NCR vicinity WrightPatterson AFB. OH.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 810 years of prior Aerospace and Defense experience or Advanced Degree and a minimum of 12 years of experience.
  • Military experience in acquiring defense products and/or Naval operational experience or working at a defense contractor to develop and deploy defense products.
  • Familiarity with DoD 5000 series and DoD Planning Programming Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) methodology required.
  • Experience with project and/or program management with business/financial reporting.
  • Experience writing proposals to military customers.
  • Secret security clearance is required #qinetiqclearedjob
