Pay Rate:The pay rate for this role is $27 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
What Will I Be Doing
Reporting to the Front Desk leaders the Rooms Controller is responsible for the daytoday management of room inventory to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
- Oversees the friendly professional and efficient registration and checkout of hotel guests including assisting the Front Desk during peak periods
- Assists Front Desk Agents in satisfying guest requests and resolving guest complaints
- Trained and skilled to perform all Front Desk functions as needed based on operational demands
- Reviews CRM Guest Request and Comments report for all arriving guests on a daily basis to ensure appropriate preblocking of rooms and to coordinate special services to be provided
- Communicates all special requests to Housekeeping and other departments as needed
- Monitors and ensures completion of all room changes
- Checks the status of all OutofOrder rooms on a daily basis
- Blocks and emails site rooms for the Sales and Events
- Blocks rooms for special projects including but not limited to deep cleaning preventative maintenance and renovation projects
- Manages room blocking on tape chart
- Reviews group resumes to verify group billing procedures VIPs and special requests
- Monitor arrivals to ensure that rooms are ready by check in time
- Clear departures by working closely with Housekeeping Department
- May interact with customers in person as well as other departments.
- Assist with the preparation of satellite checkin and checkouts for groups as well as prekeys of groups
- Email group noshow inhouse and arrivals reports on a daily basis and assist with any rooming list changes while a group is in house
- Answers telephone expediently and addresses complaints problems special requests and nonrelated desk questions
- Familiarity with daily hotel occupancy reports status of available rooms etc.
- Monitor room category and bedding availability up to two weeks in advance in order to prevent overbooking
- Monitors rollaway microwave and other amenity requests up to seven days in advance in order to ensure availability and accurate billing was completed
- Other duties may be assigned as business demands
