Software QA Engineer - Mid Level

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Define and lead QA strategies that embody shiftleft principles embedding quality from the earliest stages of planning and design across web and mobile applications including Flutterbased platforms.
   
2. Own the quality assurance lifecycle by driving early testing activities such as requirements reviews risk assessments and test planning across all stages of development.
   
3. Design and scale automated testing frameworks for web and mobile platforms to support fast feedback improve test coverage and ensure reliable releases across multiple environments.
   
4. Establish robust testing processes for functional regression integration API and performance validation to ensure endtoend product quality.
   
5. Enable test automation within CI/CD pipelines ensuring continuous validation and early detection of issues in development workflows.
   
6. Guide and mentor QA engineers in best practices for test design automation strategy and quality ownership across the SDLC.
   
7. Promote crossfunctional collaboration with engineering project and design teams to ensure shared responsibility for quality from ideation through deployment.
   
8. Continuously improve QA processes introducing scalable methodologies metrics and feedback loops to drive measurable quality outcomes.
   
9. Ensure effective test data management and backend validation leveraging strong knowledge of databases and backend systems.
   
10. Oversee QA planning and reporting using project and test management platforms to align testing efforts with sprint goals and product milestones.
    
    

Requirements

1. A degree in Computer Science or any other relevant courses is relevant but not required.
   
2. 4 years of experience in web automation API testing and performance testing.
   
3. Expert in defining and driving QA strategies grounded in shiftleft principles integrating quality early into the SDLC across web and mobile platforms in agile environments.
   
4. Proficient in Playwright and Cypress for scalable maintainable test automation with a focus on early detection and continuous feedback.
   
5. Experienced in functional and integration testing of APIs using Postman with a proactive approach to validating APIs as early as design and contract definition.
   
6. Working knowledge of k6 and JMeter to plan and execute performance and load tests ensuring system resilience is validated prerelease.
   
7. Skilled in JavaScript PHP and Dart to support automation test harness development and integration across frontend backend and mobile systems.
   
8. Proficient in using the Cucumber framework to align test scenarios with business requirements promoting shared understanding across teams from the outset.
