Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client we seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our healthcarefocused engineering team in Vancouver as a Team Lead and Project Manager at the Associate level. This hybrid technical and leadership role will involve overseeing complex hospitals and healthcare facility projects from concept through to completion. You will lead multidisciplinary teams ensure project excellence and contribute to business development in a clientfacing capacity.




Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical engineering design for hospital and healthcare facility projects including HVAC medical gas plumbing and fire protection systems.
  • Manage all phases of mechanical projects from proposal planning design construction to closeout.
  • Direct and mentor a team of engineers designers and technicians; manage team workloads and development.
  • Interface with architects consultants contractors and clients to ensure technical accuracy code compliance and quality delivery.
  • Oversee project budgets schedules and deliverables while ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct site reviews equipment assessments and quality control during design and construction phases.
  • Support strategic growth through proposal development client presentations and fostering longterm client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution (Master s preferred).
  • Registered Professional Engineer (.) in British Columbia or eligible to obtain within 3 months.
  • 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical building systems design with a minimum of 4 years in healthcare/hospital projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong knowledge of CSA ASHRAE NFPA and applicable BC Building Codes for healthcare facilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clientfacing experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Revit and mechanical system modeling tools.

Responsibilities: The Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: Attend site meetings Serve as main point of contact for the builder for any project-related questions/requests Understand project specifications and objectives Proactively identify potential issues Report on milestone dates and deliverables Respond to field issues and questions with engineering and other resources as required Investigate claims promptly and resolve them fairly Proactive approach to change orders Support and engage in a collaborative work environment Liaise with Architect, Client, Contractor, Owner, Specialty Consultants, Project Manager, Job Captain and Project Engineer Complete time critical reports including Request for Information, Contemplated Revisions, Change Orders, Field Review, Pricing Review, Progress Claim Review Issue and sign off on Site Deficiency Reports, verify and accept As Built Drawings and Operational and Maintenance Manuals and ensure all require
