POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for directing and administering the effective and efficient operations of the Branch. This role involves traveling to multiple locations conducting audits supporting and acting as Branch Manager as necessary. Ensures that established policies and procedures are followed. Oversees provision of a full range of services to members and prospective members. Ensures that good business relationships exist with members and that they are promptly and professionally served. Provides leadership through effective objective setting while training and directing the Branch staff. Assists with the development of Branch marketing programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Replaces Branch Manager as necessary and assists to continually seek ways to improve Branch operations and productivity to meet established goals. Assist with preparing periodic Branch activity reports and makes recommendations to management for improvements.
- Effectively provides assistance direction and supervision of assigned personnel as needed. Assists with determining appropriate staff levels and coordinates staff work schedules to ensures optimal performance. Ensures that high quality work and efficiency in operations are maintained. Coaches and mentors staff on sales programs and objectives. Tracks individual progress and conducts performance appraisals on assigned personnel.
- Supervises and implements changes to established policy and procedures within the Branch.
- Supervises and performs teller transactions lending and member services functions as needed. Crosssells Credit union products and services. Ensures that members are aware of Credit Union policies and that their requests and questions are promptly resolved.
- Responsible for conducting and maintaining proper cash controls in multiple locations by verifying the vault cash tellers cash drawers cash recycler machines and ATM/ITM machines on a regular basis. Ensures that cash audits are completed as assigned.
- Shares responsibility of branch security and safety measures. Ensures that all security equipment is tested as assigned.
- Reviews payroll and attendance records for accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures. Approves all requested leave vacation overtime and timesheets for assigned personnel.
- Conducts regular meetings and training sessions with Branch employees as needed.
- Ensures that the Credit Unions quality reputation is maintained and projected through effective professional business relations with members the community and professional contacts.
NONESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Assists in finding balancing errors. Investigates teller outages and institutes corrective procedures.
- Must maintain proficiency in operating hardware and software used in the branch.
- Ensures the branch is opened and closed in accordance with set hours.
- Ensures proper maintenance and general housekeeping of the building grounds work areas and equipment are carried out.
- Ensures that adequate supplies forms and equipment are available for personnel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
- Associate degree in Finance Business Management or a related field or equivalent experience.
Required Knowledge:
- Thorough knowledge of credit union financial products and services.
- Understanding of related and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with Branch functions policies and procedures.
Experience Required:
- Two years of operational experience within the financial industry.
- Two years of supervisory experience
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal leadership communication and supervisory skills.
- Well organized.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to operate related computer applications and related business equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Business Management or a related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Knowledge:
Experience Preferred:
- At least two years operational experience in a credit union or banking environment with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
- One year of lending experience preferred.
- Teller experience preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

- Frequent local travel among credit union branches.
