Job Description
JOB DETAILS
Pay: $20.00 25.00
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Painters are responsible for all aspects of painting metal including set up operation inspection and material handling activities. Painters are expected to work in a safe productive and cooperative manner in accordance with Cornerstone Building Brands policies and procedures.
- Quality Control: Inspecting paint finishes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining spray painting equipment.
- Safety: Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear.
- Material Management: Mixing matching and managing inventory of paints solvents and other materials.
- Production Processes: Understanding and following manufacturing specifications and processes.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and addressing issues related to the painting process.
- Inventory Control: Tracking daily usage of paints thinners and other solvents.
- Paint Application: Applying paint varnish or other finishes using spray guns brushes rollers or other tools.
- Additional Duties: Complete all tasks as assigned by department leadership
Qualifications :
- Previous manufacturing and/or painting experience preferred
- Must be able to read write and perform basic math skills as job duties require
- Must possess common sense positive attitude and demonstrate excellent attendance
- Must be quality and safety conscious a team player
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with people
- Extensive standing frequent bending sitting lifting pulling pushing reaching twisting and walking
- Required personal protective equipment overhead crane carts dollies and some hand tools
- Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times
