About the role and practice
We have an opportunity for a Trainee Dental Nurse to join our Flint and Flint Dental Surgeons practice in Sheffield.
No previous dental experience is needed for this role. If you have a genuine interest in health and wellbeing are passionate about delivering great service and looking for a career where you can learn grow and develop then this could be a perfect fit for you.
- Fulltime hours 39.5 hours per week
- Training supported by our highly experienced team your course will be overseen by an external course provider and is fully funded by PortmanDentex

Flint and Flint Dental Surgeons is a practice with a family history in dentistry for over 130 years. The dental practice is unique and can only be rivalled by a select few practices in the UK in that we have our own fully staffed and equipped state of the art dental laboratory on site. We have a team of highly qualified dentists and experienced technicians including renowned ceramist and implant technicians as well as an extremely experienced denture technician onsite which means all dental work can be carried in a much more efficient and effective manner.
About you
We welcome your application to our Trainee Dental Nurse vacancy if you have the following skills and qualifications:
- We recommend that you hold Maths & English GCSE grade AC/49 or Key Skills/Functional Skills Level 2
- Enjoy working as part of a team and are a good communicator who thrives upon delivering excellent standards of patient care
- Happy to be a key player in the team providing chairside assistance ensuring that the correct materials and equipment are available during each clinical session
- Comfortable learning to perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting each dentist hygienist or therapist in all procedures
