Job Description
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to kick start our brand new team Omio For Business. This is a oneoff opportunity for you to build a new team thats just shaping up with the main focus to build a modified new version of Omio web and mobile components that will be used for business travel search and booking. Youll be solving very relatable user problems and help build a truly outstanding product experience for travellers from all over the world while theyre searching comparing and booking their best journey.
You will build and lead an agile development team Omio4Business that will be a part of one of our key Partnerships tribe where we develop products and offer content to our partners such as Uber and Google outside of our B2C product i.e. through tailormade Search and Booking APIs Discovery API and other subproducts.
What you will do:
Manage a talented team of 58 software developers to help grow and develop them further.
You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of the software from strategic planning actual development and testing to monitoring and incident response.
Together with your product counterpart and other stakeholders you will agree on the OKRs for your team and take responsibility for the delivery
You will analyse technology and resource needs to assess the feasibility of projects and advise on future resourcing needs
You will be responsible for the hiring process for your team
You establish best practices for crossteam collaboration and software development processes
You will continuously raise the engineering bar with experience and passion for software excellence
Technology:
our platform is built on Go/Node/Java 21 Spring Spring Boot 3 Couchbase BigQuery Docker Kubernetes Graphite Grafana Kibana and GraphQL

- 35 years of experience in leading agile teams as techlead and/or people manager
Track record of successfully shipped software products
Good understanding of software engineering practices passion for agile
Most importantly: You should be an inspiring manager whos passionate about technology & people and wants to develop a phenomenal team in an environment thats different.
