The New York City Employees Retirement System seeks a Client Correspondence Assistant PartTime who will work on a wide variety of tasks that fall under the Quality Assurance Unit in NYCERS Client Service Division. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for providing support to the Quality Assurance Unit Manager and be responsible for intaking incoming correspondences from NYCERS clients and thirdparty stakeholders. Specifically the candidate will perform general tasks within the Client Correspondence Unit including but not limited to:
Reviewing incoming correspondence and executive correspondence from pensioners and members to assign to business units
Reviewing draft outgoing letters to NYCERS clients and other relevant third parties and making appropriate revisions prior to release
Efficiently assigning inquiry by using their knowledge of NYCERS business units and cases
Coordinating with other NYCERS business units to determine the best response to complex inquiries
Preparing unit reports for presentation to Division Leadership and the Executive Governance Board.
Managing cases within the NYCEPAS system including workflow management and preparing case notes
In addition to the above the candidate will also perform other tasks to support the Client Services Division as needed.
This position will require attention to detail responsiveness to requests and an ability to manage multiple priorities while working on a variety of assignments. The successful candidate will need to be able to tackle a highvolume work efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications :
1. An associate degree or completion of 60 credits from an accredited college including or supplemented by 9 credits in mathematics statistics accounting and/or actuarial science; or
2. A fouryear high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two years of satisfactory fulltime experience performing mathematical statistical actuarial or accounting computations in one or more of the following: a) a retirement or employee benefits plan; b) customer service in a financial
institution; and/or c) in a position requiring the application of laws rules and regulations and the use of statistical actuarial or similar tables; or
3. A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to 1 or 2 above. College education may be substituted for experience in 2 above on the basis that 30 semester credits from an accredited college may be substituted for each year of required experience. However all candidates must posses a fouryear high school diploma or its educational equivalent and either 9 semester credits
in mathematics statistics accounting and/or actuarial science from an accredited college or one year of experience as described in 2 above.
