Vassar Brothers Medical Center part of Nuvance Health is seeking a part time Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its growing team in Poughkeepsie New York located just 75 minutes north of New York City.
OR Responsibilities
- 1st and 2nd assisting on all cardiac and thoracic cases
- EVH
- Radial artery harvesting
- Central line thoracentesis chest tube placement and all procedures typical to this specialty
- TAVR/robotic opportunities
- 24/7 service inhouse call
Patient Management Responsibilities
- Critical Care/CTICU management
- CT Step Down Unit Patient Management
- Bedside Procedures
- Consults
- Preop evaluation
- Discharges
- Progress Notes

Qualifications
A minimum of 12 years of experience in an inpatient hospital setting is preferred but new graduates will be considered.
Located on the banks of the scenic Hudson River Vassar Brothers Medical Center has a new 752000 squarefoot eightlevel inpatient pavilion with 263 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. Vassar provides the leading acute and critical emergency care in the region including Level II Trauma Service and Interventional Neuroradiology.
