Education: Requires a high school diploma an equivalent certificate or a bronze level WorkKeys certification. Uses simple arithmetic blueprints specifications and some measuring instruments.
Experience: Requires 12 years drop hammer or directly related experience.
Working Conditions: Continuous exposure to severe noise and vibration
Job Summary: To form a variety of aircraft parts.
Job Responsibilities:
Sets up and operates various sizes of drop hammers to form aircraft parts exercising some judgement to set and bolt dies and punch in drop hammer holds die in with lead selects pads and positions them on die and forms parts with drop hammer as specified.
Uses various hand tools such as lead hammers and solder bars.
Cleans lead off dies and remelts for future use.
Uses materials or tool moving equipment as required.
Responsible for utilizing safe work habits.
Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of area.
Responsible for clocking own labor performance correctly.
Responsible only for own work.
Performs other related duties.
