Position Overview
As an Accountant Supervisor for the Division of Statewide 911 under direction prepares reviews and processes Material Request Forms (MRFs) invoices and other fiscalrelated technical advice and assistance to managers regarding fiscal controls and Bureau personnel with preparation of Procurement Business Cases contracts MRFs and other budget related documents in accordance with state fiscal and accounting budget submissions from the Bureau cost centers and reviews forms for accuracy and completeness. Conducts a variety of studies and investigations of problems in response to requests from the Directors Office Office of Finance Deputy Director or other divisions within the Department. Reviews and analyzes policies procedures and legislation for impact on the Division and compiles the findings and information to be reviewed by the command with annual contract renewals for maintenance and large purchases.

Essential Functions
- Assists the Division of Statewide 911 and Bureau Cost Centers with fiscal and budgetary matters regarding procurement facilities and equipment.
- Coordinates special projects; analyzes information and makes recommendations to the Deputy Director.
- Assists in organizing drafting reviewing obtaining approvals monitoring executing and evaluating noninformation technology (IT) procurements in the Division.
- Serves as working supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required as enumerated in the duties above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college with courses in business administration and accounting.
- Requires two (2) years of professional experience in accounting external auditing budgetary planning and control or public accounting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers three (3) years of experience with evaluating accounting problems of complex difficulty.
- Prefers three (3) years of experience analyzing and interpreting complex accounting records and reports.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience with computer programs/language such as Word Excel and Access.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience with invoices and/or cash receipt processing.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience reviewing establishing implementing and interpreting policy and procedures.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience establishing goals and objectives for subordinate personnel.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience working with personnel matters in the private or public sector.
- Prefers one (1) year of experience with office practices procedures and programs.
