Mechanical Engineering Technician
This position will support the design assembly and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems for test and process equipment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a handson environment working closely with engineers on drivetrain and engine test systems.
Responsibilities
Design assemble and troubleshoot electrical circuits controlling test and process equipment with operating voltages ranging from 5V to 700V.
Collaborate with engineers to develop test and refine mechanical systems involving engines transmissions and axles.
Install instrumentation and assist in setting up data acquisition systems for engine and drivetrain testing.
Perform handson work in the shop environment supporting builds teardown analysis and test stand setup.
Document test setups wiring diagrams and troubleshoot system issues in realtime.
Assist with continuous improvement of testing procedures and lab/shop safety practices.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with electrical circuits used in test and process equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to read technical schematics and drawings.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Desired Attributes
Knowledge of diesel engine and aftertreatment system codes and safety standards.
Practical experience assembling and diagnosing drivetrain components (e.g. axles transmissions driveshafts).
Understanding of drivetrain systems including power flow gear reduction and hydraulic coupling.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage time efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Pay Range: $28$33/hour Commensurate with experience
