At BlueOval SK we will lead the transformation of the electric vehicle (EV) battery business through partnership (Joint Venture formed by Ford and SK On) to provide products and processes to increase our customers the future of BlueOval SK you will help lead the battery revolution by working alongside our teams as we build the batteries required for electric vehicle business excellence.

Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three stateofthe art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brandnew advanced manufacturing facilities will use Fords 100years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK Ons 30 years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the worlds best battery manufacturer.



Responsibilities

The Production Area Manager positions at BlueOval SK Battery Park in Stanton Tennessee will have a unique onceinalifetime opportunity to be a key member of the startup team launching the facility from ground up.

The BlueOval SK Area Managers will lead the planning and development of their respective areas within the Battery site in Stanton TN in line with the facility Production System. Each Area Manager will be assigned a Key Unifying Process (KUP) and be responsible to become the site subject matter expert work with the other Area Managers and implement that System or KUP across the plant. The Area Managers will champion the implementation of strategies to indoctrinate the culture required to achieve the plant Vision Mission and Values and delivering objectives for their respective areas via truly empowered and supported teams. Responsible for leading change efforts within the plant to meet BOSK manufacturing standards. They support employees by removing barriers to their success and developing their knowledge skills and abilities. This role will be responsible for leading a team of hourly and salaried employees at the facility including but not limited to:

  • Accountable for area planning and implementation of respective area
  • Implement the plant production operating systems and processes to BOSK manufacturing
  • standards

  • Remove internal barriers by getting resources and aligning objectives and systems
  • Lead transformation and change management efforts
  • Develop organizational capability through coaching and development at all levels of the organization. Ensure employees receive the necessary training coaching and experiences to raise their performance level and advance the organization

Qualifications

Youll have...

  • Bachelors degree or commensurate experience work
  • 5 years of operations experience in a leadership role
  • Ability to travel 10% including internationally


Even better you may have...

  • Bachelors or masters degree
  • 10 years of operations experience in a leadership role
  • 10 years manufacturing experience including automotive (assembly a plus)
  • 10 years automotive experience
  • Six Sigma Blackbelt
  • Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing
  • Prior experience with Greenfield / Startup Sites

This position is a leadership level 5.

Travel is expected throughout 2025 and 2026 along with future relocation to Tennessee.
The successful candidate will be a Ford Secondee to the joint venture. A secondee is an employee who is temporarily transferred to the joint venture although continues their employment with Ford.
