Who we are looking for:

Slate is looking for a dynamic Service Parts Lead to help us revolutionize the industry. The Service Parts Lead will oversee the management and standardization of service parts within our technical documentation and parts catalog. The Service Parts Lead will be a key player in establishing processes and gate checks ensuring every detail is perfectfrom cost to pricing MOQ forecast demand kitting and part structure. This position will help develop strategies that enhance clarity improve consistency and streamline communication across our engineering service and procurement teams.


What you get to do:

  • Enrich Service Bill Of Material (SBOM) within Windchill to ensure accuracy of parts cost pricing MOQ demand forecast and additional required fields.
  • Be the subject matter expert and super user for Windchill (PLM) with Service BOM including revision supersession obsolete and scrap / use up.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with Engineering Service Design Commercial and Purchasing operations for accuracy of parts and attributes.
  • Plan out lifecycle plan for service parts including slow moving and obsolete parts disposition.
  • Identify long lead items and collaborate with purchasing and inventory warehouse to plan out replenishment timing and quantities.
  • Early identification and analysis of usage to artificially alert on replenishment planning.
  • Develop process for service parts planning and own the process management and update for changes in business needs.
  • Work with knowledge base on proper identification classification and information on the parts for OEM and Accessories as service parts.


What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred. While a degree is preferred candidates who demonstrate impressive relevant and commensurate professional experience in automotive marine small engine motorcycle or recreational vehicle industries may still be considered.
  • 8 years of OEM experience in Service Parts BOM development planning implementation and maintenance.
  • PLM expertise is required and Windchill knowledge is a plus.
  • Understanding of ERP function with cost and price loading.
  • Project management experience with a track record of leading successful process improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of EV Automotive parts and accessories is preferred.
  • Proven experience in parts management inventory control or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices for parts naming and standardization.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency including Microsoft Office (Outlook Teams Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Passion for electric vehicles and sustainable transportation.
  • Creative problem solver that can create simple solutions to complicated problems.
  • Selfstarter with the ability to work independently or collaboratively to effectively manage competing assignments through to completion.
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fastpaced multicultural environment with crossfunctional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on technical content.
  • Strong organizational analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Detail oriented with the desire to achieve the highest standards of excellence.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and practices including PIES (Product Information Exchange Standard) and ACES (Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard).
  • Support supply chain by tracking and managing temporary reinstate and discontinuation related activities.
  • Data management and analysis.
  • Risk management processes and analysis.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to travel (up to 10%).
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to stand walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
