RETIREMENT PROGRAM LEAD INSTRUCTOR $250 Hiring Bonus* JOB DUTIES SUMMARY: Responsible for directly supervising and providing daily activities and active treatment to individuals receiving support through STARCs Silver Stars Retirement Program. Ensures safety and wellbeing of individuals served. Implements active treatment goals to enhance social physical and emotional wellbeing. Effectively utilizes behavior management techniques to redirect and modify behavior of clients as indicated in individuals service plan. mmediately reports any behavior incidents to QIDP. May assist QIDP in development of new goals and objectives designed to meet identified outcomes. Works collaboratively with Certified Recreation Therapist to implement recommendations for community outings inhome activities and use of adaptive equipment. Will be required to transport individuals into the community. ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports to Residential Services Administrator WORK SCHEDULE: Follows 240 day Operational Calendar Monday Friday 8:30 am 3:00 pm PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Direct Care Residential Community Homes Heavy Work The employee must regularly lift and/or move 10 to 20 pounds frequently lift and/or move 25 to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 to 100 pounds. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to walk stand sit talk and hear. The employee must be able to use hands to finger handle or feel and is frequently required to bend over stoop kneel or crouch. The employee is required to transfer individuals with disabilities to/from bathtubs vehicles beds chairs etc. The employee is required to restrain adult individuals with intellectual developmental and physical disabilities when their behavior is aggressive. The operation of a motor vehicle is also required in the performance of job duties. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: - Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred OR demonstrated competency in reading writing speaking and understanding the English language and 3 months to one year of verifiable work experience in providing supports to individuals with intellectual developmental and/or disabilities in residential community home setting.
