PEKO is a fullservice debtfree privatelyowned contract manufacturer with over 50 years embedded in the Rochester NY community. In collaboration with our valued business partners we deliver new product development (NPI) strategies for product commercialization and provide solutions in the medical industrial defense and renewable energy industries. The Opportunity: Buyer
Your Role: The Buyer is responsible for procurement functions directly associated with the organizations needs for indirect materials and services fixed assets and tooling and select production materials and services. You will ensure coordination with internal departments and assure the timely execution of products and services. You may also need to assist in interviewing and consulting with current and prospective suppliers to determine supply capabilities transportation logistics and management.

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $55000 $65000 per year. The wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational requirements.

What Were Looking For:
- Initiates purchase orders as required for electrical and mechanical components perishable tooling MRO supplies raw materials and general job shop needs.
- Places purchase orders in an ISO environment with our current supplier base using our ERP system.
- Handles any needed accounting review of invoices and packing slips.
- Ability to manage heavy daily contact with vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to conduct precise and detailed communications.
- Minimum 35 years of purchasing materials in manufacturing environment
- APICS certification ERP knowledge foundational supply chain knowledge a plus.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred.
