POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the direction of the Team Manager or Facility Support Crew Leader maintains building maintenance and provides preventative maintenance. Where authorized and/or trained provides maintenance to forklifts and other machinery that operates in the SDC Warehouse. Maintains reports records and documents on repairs and preventative maintenance. Supports and engages in team efforts of a High Performance Work System. Other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for maintianing repaire recores building and maching PM reports and other documents.
Troubleshoot air compressors hot water heaters motors dryers welding (mig. Stick soldering). Welding of all types of metal stainless and mild steel
Using hand tool power tools hoist crane and measuring and testing instruments. Set up and operate drill press ginders saws and other metal working tools and equipment to make repairs.
Work with Facility Support Crew Leader to obtain quotes on aproved requisiions. Prioritize and perform actions on all work orders
Observes mechanical devices in operation and investigates to diagnose and repair issues.
Responsible for repiars to building plumbing valves fire vaccume forklift and HVAC
Makes contact and arranges visits for routine or preventative maintenance equipment upgrades or new equipment. Coordinates contract services to include but not limited to maintenance cleaning and security.
Responsible to building alarm issues when Manager or Facility Support Crew Leader provide authorization.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
Two to Four years of journeyman/mechanic experience
Two years of experience of machinery maintenancemotors
Experience with weighing devices casing machine conveyors wrappers electronic and electrical test equipment.
Forklift experience
Computer skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual English/Spanish
Experience with Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
