Job Description
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent required Industrial Engineering preferred;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required;
- Software Knowledge including statistical analysis tools (Excel MiniTab etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite;
- CAD (Siemens NX)/SAP/Oracle Team Centre and Power BI experience preferred;
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques and Six Sigma;
- Strong problemsolving skills and knowledge of PFMEA SPC and Quality Control Techniques;
- Ability to work with staff at differing levels;
- Strong communication skills;
- Ability to assess and upgrade procedures and systems;
- Versatile and a selfstarter able to work with minimal supervision.

Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd one of worlds leading manufacturers of commercial mowers and turf maintenance equipment. Based in Ipswich Suffolk our products are built to enable customers to accurately cut turf grass at football stadiums golf courses public parks and roadsides. We are in search of an Industrial Engineer to become a part of our team. The role involves implementing enhancements across all operational areas with the aim of elevating our product quality and boosting manufacturing efficiency.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyse manufacturing systems/processes and present data outcomes to drive databased decision making;
- Complete project management efforts to include reporting to senior leaders on assignment progress challenges ROI and next steps;
- Utilize software environments as applicable for data analytics of production/ TAKT performance;
- Gather data manually or via implementation of a measuring system such as time studies data mining from systems or through SAP/ Oracle;
- Use lean principles such as waste identification and elimination theory of constraints and 1piece flow to evaluate and implement opportunities for improvement;
- Develop assigned projects to meet strategic business objectives by including developing KPIs measurement system needs resource requirements and expected outcomes;
- Implement business strategic initiatives in a sustainable manner by working with cross functional teams and communicating with key stakeholders;
- Evaluate physical workstations and layouts for ergonomic improvements waste repeatability visual management and operator satisfaction;
- Implement recommended material storage and presentation methods to the assembly line.
