Your role
As the Senior Support Worker at one of estaras Supported Independent Living (SIL) residences you will work with our Support Worker team and provide direct support to individuals living with a disability including assistance with the daily operations of the SIL home administrative tasks and supervision of Support Workers.

Your capabilities

Essential
Tertiary qualifications in Individual Support Aged Care Community Services or other relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience
Demonstrated experience working with people living with disabilities including manual handling and personal care tasks
Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate compassionately with a diverse range of people and maintain a high level of customer service
Ability to work autonomously and respond with empathy in stressful situations
Problemsolving and time management skills
Willingness to perform shift work including sleepovers weekends and public holidays
Able to commit to a fulltime fixed work pattern including alternate weekends
Desirable
Demonstrated frontline leadership experience
Knowledge of NDIS worker and quality and safeguarding requirements
Special conditions
Full working rights in Australia
Current South Australian drivers licence and a reliable vehicle
Willingness to obtain both a DHS Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
Willingness to obtain Provide First Aid certification (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011)
