About the job:

The Pavilion Facility Shift Lead classification is distinguished from the Recreation Lead Classification as the Facility Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing operations of a recreation facility with significant and varied staff program and facility responsibilities whereas the Recreation Lead position is responsible for providing leadership and support for a specific program and/or limited use facilities.

What were looking for:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; two years of college courses in recreation or related field preferred; AND
  2. Two (2) years of experience working in a recreation facility or relevant experience with at least one (1) year team lead experience ; OR
  3. Any satisfactory combination of education experience and training.
  4. Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred but not required.


LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION:

  1. Must possess or obtain within 30 days of hire a First Aid/CPR Certification for the Professional Rescuer.
  2. Must possess or obtain within 3045 days of hire any specialty certifications/training required by Facility such as Lifeguard certification or other necessary training for the job.*
  3. Other specialty licenses and certifications may be required depending on facility and program assignment.

*We provide on the job training for Zamboni operations depending on the location.



Supervision Received:

Reports directly to a Facility Supervisor. Follows standard processes and procedures without supervision but confirms changes to standard practices and significant decisions in advance.


Supervision Exercised:

Provides ongoing leadership and direction to all staff working assigned shifts which may include directing and assigning work adjusting work schedules training coaching and providing recommendations on evaluating performance and developing goals.
