- Set up and stock workstations.
- Prepare and cook food for service in cooperation with coworkers.
- Cook to the exact specification of the Executive Chef.
- Keep abreast of orders inventory availability and events.
- Prepare for and assist with events.
- Ensure consistent portion sizes and quality of meals.
- Ensure food comes out in a timely manner.
- Comply with health sanitation and safety regulations policies and procedures.
- Attend staff meetings and other functions as required.
- Complete all paperwork involved in daytoday operations.
- Report all equipment problems.
- Ensure recipes are being followed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year or more experience working in a commercial kitchen.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule: early mornings days nights Holidays and weekends.
- Understanding and proficiency in most general culinary techniques.
- General understanding of commercial kitchen equipment.
- Good knife skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Knowledge of proper food handling and food safety/sanitation standards.
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure and undertake various tasks.
