Our Financial Management & Business Analysis Portfolio supports the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC); the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (ASA) Financial Management and Comptroller (FM&C); the U.S. Army Financial Management Command (USAFMCOM); the Defense Health Agency (DHA); and many other DoD customers. We ensure the Army FM systems and processes are modernized and integrated to provide a complete range of financial and cost information needed for the Army to conduct business transactions provide accountability to the public and to support performance reporting and decision making. We provide effective functional systems support user technical support training support and governance support of the Armys modernized and deployed FM domain ERP systems (GFEBS / GFEBSSA / GCSSA (Finance)) ensuring technological capabilities maturation and evolution aligns with Army and FM domain goals and objectives. And we are responsible for the implementation and sustainment of the Armys General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) within DHAs Military Health System (MHS).

We are looking for a Data Architect Leadto join our team to support the Modern Delivery Data Management team.

Your daytoday work will include:

• Data mappings between legacy and modern Army FM systems.
• Data architectural diagrams.
• A backlog of data interface requirements to Joint data platforms.
• Records of interfaces and products in data catalogs
• Being the lead for identifying and recording common data elements across multiple legacy and modern systems.
• Developing architectural diagrams for data flows between FM systems and Joint data platforms (e.g. Advana Vantage).
• Developing and overseeing data mappings to modern systems and data platforms.
• Drafting and submitting data product descriptions to appropriate data catalogs (e.g. Army Data Catalog Advana Data Catalog).
• Coordinating with OSD CDAO to maintain an Army backlog of data needs in Advana.
• Coordinating with Army CDAO for needs in the Army data platform as necessary.
• Working with Enterprise Architecture to update DIV1 and other system views in EKR.
• Working directly with government leadership managing teams customers and data requirements
• Assisting Audit teams with monthly data ingestions from Army systems
• Management of data initiatives and small projects from start to finish
• Working with Army FM&C Lead to prioritize Advana data product requirements
• Developing recurring and ad hoc financial datasets
• Developing Advana datasets and analytical products to enable the Army reporting on all Financial System data
• Reviewing data pipeline code via GitLab to ensure it meets team and code standards
• Overseeing overall architecture and technical direction for FM&C data projects
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to work in our Arlington office up to full time if required.
• A masters degree in a related field and10 years relevant experience.
• Data Architecture experience.
• Wellversed in Python and Spark / PySpark
• Experience building and managing data pipelines and using data analytics tools such as Databricks Qlik Power BI
• Experience working via the terminal / command line
• Experience consuming data via APIs
• Hands on experience using Jira and Confluence
• A working knowledge of SAP ECC.
• Data modeling experience.
• Experience working in an Agile team.
• An active DoD SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain these throughout employment

Desired Qualifications:

• AWS cloud experience
• Experience maintaining data pipelines with tables containing over a billion rows / records
• Experience building deploying and managing Qlik dashboards
• Experience in or with Advana
• Experience with GitLab
• Experience working with DoD systems
• Experience working with financial systems
