Kitchens for Good POSITION TITLE: Sales Associate REPORTS TO: Operations Manager FLSA STATUS: Nonexempt PartTime COMPENSATION: $17$19/Hr. LOCATION: San Diego CA Who we are: Kitchens for Good transforms lives through culinary arts. Position Summary: The Sales Associate for SHOP KITCHENS FOR GOOD is responsible for maintaining excellent customer service while executing the sales of the items within the store. The sales should be done effectively accurately and quickly. The Sales Associate will work with other members of the team including volunteers and management to create a great shopping experience; maintaining the presentation & displays operational tasks are completed product is stocked and merchandised and the customers checkout process is seamless. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Greets all donors and customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Accepts money in the form of cash checks and credit or debit cards for items purchased.
- Assists customers with questions or price discrepancies.
- Ensures accurate transactions by balancing cash register at the beginning and end of shift and sales at the end of shift.
- Processes returns and exchanges according to store policy.
- Identifies prices of products and services and tabulates bills with available equipment.
- Assists customers in locating various products resolving complaints or providing information.
- Bag box and wrap purchased items.
- Assists when needed in receiving donations/product and replenishing the floor in a timely fashion
- Proactively communicates organizations mission by informing each customer that their purchase helps transform lives and nourish communities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of consumer electronics (mobile devices and computers such as Apple Samsung or Google products).
- Experience with POS system (Celerant preferred)

- Exemplary attendance is required for this position
Education & Work Experience - High school diploma orequivalent.
- 6 months of cash handling and/or customer servicerelated experience preferred
- Knowledge of consumer electronics (mobile devices and computers such as Apple Samsung or Google products.)
- Entry level experience and knowledge in Microsoft office 365 programs (Excel Word Power Point One Drive and Share Point)
Work Environment: This job operates in a retail store environment. This role routinely uses equipment such as cash registers computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularlyrequired to stand for long periods of time reach lift bend kneel stoop climb push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a nonexemptparttime position at 20 hours per week. SHOP KITCHENS FOR GOOD is open 7 days a week from 10:00am7:00pm. Morning or evening shifts available. However expected hours/shift will vary and employee must be available to work weekends. Travel Employee will be expected to travel to as needed to additional KFG must havea validdrivers license reliable transportationand ability to work across multiple sites.
