Position Overview
As a CAD Technician you will produce assembly and detail drawings of our range of products using Autodesk Inventor.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce general arrangement (GA) production detail and install drawings of Balmoral products from inhouse and clientprovided information using AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Communicate directly with our clients to develop project solutions and GA drawings to meet their needs and fulfil the project budget.
- Produce information in the form of drawings and specifications which allows the contracts projects and production departments to perform their functions efficiently.
- Contribute to the continuing improvement programme to reduce costs and raise quality.
- Produce information to meet client and inhouse deadlines and advise early of any anticipated delays.
- Operate a safe working environment and ensure all relevant company procedures and policies are adhered to in the performance of the above duties.

Ideal Candidate
Required:
- 2 years CAD experience (gained through education is acceptable)
Desirable:
- 2 years CAD experience in industry
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
Qualifications
Required:
- Alevels HNC or HND or equivalent in a recognised Engineering/Design discipline
- Knowledge of 2D/3D Modelling and Drawing software
Desirable:
- Degree in Engineering/Design discipline
- Knowledge of Autodesk Software (Inventor Vault)
- Familiar with Draughting standards such as BS8888
- Knowledge of Sectional/Modular Storage Tanks
