About the team and the role:
The Search Ranking and Monetization Team is the biggest contributor to eBays search and advertising programs and drives a significant portion of revenue. We are growing at a rapid pace and committed to building a stellar team. We are a team where people who do things differently and win are rewarded and grow. What you will accomplish:
Drive the search ranking and monetization technical vision by incorporating and developing software engineering processes and standards to enhance eBays buying experience
Collaborate with scientists and product managers to deploy complex yet scalable core algorithmic logic
Create robust data pipelines and realtime monitoring and optimization algorithms
What you will bring:
4 years of software design and development experience solid foundation in computer science with strong proficiencies in data structures algorithms OOPs and Software Design
Experience in designing and operating big data processing pipelines such as: Hadoop Spark Hive ETL
3 years of software development experience in building large scale Web Services and Backend Applications using Java C and related technologies
Proven results oriented person with a delivery focused in a high fastpaced and dynamic environment
Excellent verbal and written communication collaboration and influencing skills
Masters degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent professional experience with 4 years of experience
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$166400 $222100Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired employees will be in an atwill position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
