Southwest General Medical Group Inc. Behavioral Health provides assessment counseling crisis intervention and selfhelp services. Our experienced boardcertified psychiatrists work with adult and geriatric patients to help them deal with mental health or chemical dependency issues and lifechanging events (such as the loss of a loved one or divorce).

Monday Friday 8:30 A.M. 5:00 P.M. with varied start and end times
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mental Health/Addictions Social Worker provides psychosocial support and interventions for necessary patients (as directed by the providers). Participates with the physician nurses Mental Health Specialist counselors NPs and other professional members of the team in the development of treatment plans. Provides family services for patients upon providers request. Serves as the liaison between the patients community life and their treatment in the office. Provides inoffice consultation and information in response to requests from the providers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited graduate school of social work.
Required length of experience:
Two years work experience in providing mental health services. Knowledge of medical and psychiatric terminology and diagnostic criteria. Knowledge of community resources and managed care organizations.
Required licensure certification and/or registry:
Licensed as an LISW in the State of Ohio.
