Job Summary:
To stress relieve and clean a variety of aircraft parts and assemblies.
Job Responsibilities:
Working from shop routers specifications detailed instructions and standard operation methods.
Plan and perform operations necessary to assure maximum exposure to abrasive blast operations and operates shot peening equipment.
Operates a variety of abrasive blast equipment and use simple hand tools such as pliers and wire cutters.
Visually checks parts and assemblies for desired cleanliness.
Use simple holding fixtures and some measuring instruments such as scale and almen tester.
Checks parts periodically for depth penetration of steel shot.
Responsible for quality of own work.
Performs other duties as required.
Education:
Must have a high school diploma an equivalent certificate or a bronze level WorkKeys certification to interpret some drawings apply simple math and use some measuring instruments.
Experience:
Requires a minimum six months blast or shot peening experience.
Working Conditions: Particularly disagreeable due to heat dust and noise.
