Job Description

We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V280 Future LongRange Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Armys Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless Bells Autonomous Pod Transport (APT) and Bells HighSpeed Vertical TakeOff and Landing (HSVTOL) program a next generation stopfold tiltrotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth however exceptions for alternate work arrangements may be considered.

SCM Engineering Transitions Team

Contributing to the successful completion of major projects that support strategic priorities or difficult technical objectives the Manufacturing Engineer III understands advanced manufacturing technical principles theories and concepts to develop imaginative manufacturing technology on existing or advanced designs concepts processes systems and tools. Working under general direction the individual possesses unique Manufacturing Engineering knowledge in specialty and advanced manufacturing technical areas. Represents Production Engineering as manufacturing technical contact on projects programs and/or cross functional teams.

What youll be doing as a Sr Mfg Project Engineer

Direct customer facing experience either supporting production industrialization of product or frontline leadership.

Able to effectively identify report and resolve potential safety and quality hazards/risks.

Able to develop scope of work resource estimates progress metrics and communication cadence for overall project management to meet mission critical objectives.

Able to perform producibility analysis and manufacturing trade studies to determine cost effective solutions to complex manufacturing technical objectives.

Works through a disciplined approach in initiating planning executing controlling and closing tasks and projects to achieve specific goals to specific success criteria.

Work and deliverables reviewed and checked through team leadership Project/Program management and Functional management to adequately meet objectives.

Mentors and shares manufacturing technology with teammates and colleagues.

Skills You Bring To this Role

Knowledge of military and commercial aircraft systems.

Able to apply engineering design and analysis knowledge to evaluate discrepancies and anomalies.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office tools of Word Excel PowerPoint Project Visio and Outlook

What you need to be successful

7 years in aerospace or related manufacturing industry experience with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering Engineering Technology or relevant/related disciplines.

5 years in aerospace or related manufacturing industry experience with related Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Engineering Engineering Technology or relevant/relates discipline plus a Master of Science (MS) Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Knowledge and/or expertise in one or more manufacturing technologies to include but not limited to the following:

o Aerostructure Airframe design of metallic nonmetallic machining cutting tool additive part fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes equipment tool integration and product verification.

o Electrical and Mechanical Systems design integration and installation manufacturing processes tool integration equipment and product verification.

o Tail Main and Prop Rotor Blade Systems design of metallic nonmetallic machining cutting tool additive part fabrication and bonded assembly manufacturing processes tool integration equipment and product verification.

o Manufacturing Execution Systems process specifications CAD/CAM; production planning material requirements scheduling and material kitting and handling.

o Gear and Transmission Drive Systems metallic nonmetallic machining cutting tool additive part fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes tool application equipment and product verification.

o Tool and Equipment Integration Facility requirements ergonomics safety environmental automation robotics metrology tool & die fabrication tool design methodology determinant tooling & fixtures loft practices flat patterning numerical controlled programing of equipment tool cutting/addition technology applied to the fabrication and assembly of vertical lift systems.

Preferred:

Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology in Chemical Systems Computer Industrial Automation/Robotic Aeronautical/Aviation Mechanical Electrical Manufacturing Environmental and Materials

Experience with electronic product and project data in applications such as Enovia CAMS and Primavera.

CATIA V5/V6 experience.
