We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future LongRange Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Armys Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bells HighSpeed Vertical TakeOff and Landing (HSVTOL) program a next generation stopfold tiltrotor.
Engineering Specialist Systems Engineer FVL Training Systems
The Bell V280 Future LongRange Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) Future Vertical Lift (FVL) Program has an opportunity available for a Systems Engineer for Training role is responsible for conducting analysis design development implementation and evaluation of embedded training and standalone Training Aids Devices Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) in support of the for US Army FVL aircraft operators and maintainers.
This position is onsite in Fort Worth TX.
What youll be doing asSystems Engineer for FVL Training Systems:
Analyze FVL aircraft system design and operations to determine required training tasks.
Coordinate with operator and maintainer subject matter experts (SMEs) to review existing U.S. Army aircraft training programs and determine applicability of training methods to the FVL aircraft.
Research and evaluate current and emerging technology to recommend innovative approaches to for embedded training and standalone TADSS.
Create specifications for embedded training and standalone TADSS that realize effective and innovative approaches for delivering FVL training to aircraft operators and maintainers.
Provide systems engineering support to include Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo Systems Modeler.
Skills You Bring To this Role:
Knowledge of military aircraft mission systems and aircraft flight characteristics.
Experience developing detailed requirements specifications and statements of work (SOW) and coordinating with suppliers to implement specified requirements.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills including experience delivering support presentations to customers.
Experience with airborne software and hardware qualification to standards such as RTCA DO178DO297. DO326 DO254 and ARP 4754a.
Ability to work within and expand MBSE architecture frameworks to create MBSE artifacts and views.
What You Need to Be Successful:
At least 3 years of systems engineering experience in aerospace with MBSE experience.
Prior experience working with Training Aids development for maintainers or operators is preferred.
Eligible for obtaining and maintaining a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
Bachelors degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
