Job Description: Registered Nurse for MedSurg Unit (MSU) for adult geriatrics and pediatric patients. With EXCELLENT Staffing Ratios: Non Covid: typically 4:1 max 5:1. Covid patients: typically 2:1 max 3:1. Required Certifications: American Heart Association BLS ACLS. and PALS is required. Experience: Three (3) years of medsurg experience 1 year pediatric experience required MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH BOTH ADULT AND PEDIATRIC PATIENTS. Setting: 20 bed medical surgical unit for adults and pediatrics Shift: 12 hour shifts (Shift will be assigned) but must be flexible. In addition to inpatient may be assigned to help cover Flu Immunization clinics as needed. Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings. Housing: Information can be found under the Facility Group Document section. Orientation: on Mondays only If your traveler misses the compliance deadline they will be pushed to the following scheduled New Employee Orientation. Other: Travelers are occasionally expected to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work. This could include taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting or could be taskoriented such as answering call lights phones etc

Shift: 12Hour Night/Day shift. Typical schedule is 36 hours one week 48 hours the next plus up to 1 oncall shift/week. Must be flexible and open to days nights weekends and holidays as needs may change. Maximum of two (2) Shift Call offs.
