Job Description
Urgent requirement for one of our client which is Correctional Facility
- Job Name: Correctional/Nurse Practitioner
- Job Location: Leavittsburg OH 44430
- Shift: Day
- Weekly Schedule: Minimum 36hrs/ week
- Duration of Contract: 2 Months
- Minimum years of experience: 2 years
Pay rate: $65/hr
Submissions must include:
- Resume
- Healthcareprofessional level CPR certification
- Ohio Medical License
- Copy of Board Certification
- Drug Enforcement Administration certification.
- US Passport or Naturalization card if born outside US
- one year of working NP experience in primary care
Job Duties in Order of Importance:
- Monitors progress of and intervenes in the course of chronic illnesses using ODRC policies and protocols for guidance
- Inoculates or vaccinates against communicable diseases & prescribes medications or administers treatment of acute and chronically ill patients & performs minor surgery as training & competency allows
- Performs routine physical exams of patients to determine control or status of chronic conditions & diagnoses new conditions
- Evaluates patients for the necessity of specialty referral consultations inside or outside the institution & reviews said consult reports for the recommendations approving or disapproving accordingly
- Orders & reviews the results of laboratory xray & other diagnostic testing appropriate With the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) facilitates the completion of medical reclassification & requests for nonformulary medications as necessary
