Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to complete system subassembly and assembly of simulators and bespoke customer cabin builds. Once fully onboarded you will be supporting simulator system builds ranging from smaller Thetas Sigmas working up to full size Delta systems. Travel will be required in this role as you will be involved in the installation and commissioning of the full system on customer sites.
What will you be doing
- Assembly of simulator systems in accordance with defined project schedules cooperating with other teams while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Fabrication and skilled assembly of bespoke customer cabins.
- Commissioning and servicing of equipment and systems worldwide
- Support tasks as required including but not limited to; fault investigation rectification and site preparation.
What are we looking for
- Mechanical assembly skills: Competence in assembling mechanical components and systems.
- Engineering drawing familiarity: Ability to read and assemble components from engineering assembly and part drawings.
- Basic PC skills: Basic proficiency in using computers for timesheet data entry reading project documents product manuals and technical notes
- Motorsport/automotive background: A background in motorsport/automotive is advantageous as familiarity with highperformance systems can enhance assembly work
- Fabrication skills: Metal and composite fabrication experience is desirable.
