Job Description
- Design and implement tailored electrical and software solutions for Syntegon packaging equipment including legacy systems modernisation.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide engineering support to the field service team.
- Develop clear documentation for service interventions upgrades and projectrelated materials.
- Travel domestically and internationally to support installation and commissioning of modernisation projects.
- Integrate new control systems into existing machinery ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Assist the Electrical and Software engineering team with new customer projects and developments.
- Manage cost targets in design purchase and assembly whilst carrying out risk assessments on machinery.
- Ensure electrical aspects of machinery comply with European Community (CE) National Electric Code Canadian Standards Association Codes and Underwriters Laboratory requirements.
Specific Requirements
- Valid passport and driving licence.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- 10 years of extensive Electrical and Software Engineering experience preferably in the Packaging industry
- Proficiency in MS Office AutoCAD electrical or EPLAN and programming using Rockwell Beckhoff and Zenon software
- Working knowledge of applicable standards (CE NFPA CSA UL) and safety performance levels
- Strong troubleshooting problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Experience in design for manufacture and assembly cost management and servo motion technology
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (valid passport and driving licence required)
